State Grid holds an on-site meeting to enhance construction capabilities for transmission and transformation projects, along with a conference to advance key infrastructure initiatives.
September 23, State Grid Corporation Transmission and Distribution Engineering The Meeting on Enhancing Construction Capabilities and the Key Infrastructure Project Promotion Event was held in Weifang, Shandong. Pan Jingdong, Deputy General Manager and Member of the Party Leadership Group of the company, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Pan Jingdong stated that in recent years, the company has been deeply advancing the "Six Excellence and Four Modernizations" initiative for infrastructure development. As a result, management mechanisms have become more robust, the organizational foundation continues to strengthen, the mechanized construction system remains highly adaptable and comprehensive, and construction methods have grown increasingly intelligent. These efforts have fostered seamless collaboration among various construction entities, driving a significant upgrade in overall construction capabilities. Facing today’s challenges—increased workloads, greater technical complexity, more hazardous conditions, and rapidly evolving demands—the company must strategically optimize its investment of human, financial, and material resources. This will empower all construction units to take on greater responsibilities, build stronger capacities, and enhance their ability to meet project demands. Additionally, it’s crucial to refine professional management systems, with a particular focus on bolstering four key competencies: strategic support, quality control, technological innovation, and risk prevention and mitigation. Meanwhile, to ensure the full and timely completion of this year’s construction objectives, the meeting outlined five critical areas of action: accelerating engineering progress, reinforcing safety management, elevating construction quality and efficiency, maintaining strict compliance with laws and regulations, and strengthening Party leadership throughout the process.
